Saturday, July 30 is International Friendship Day and to celebrate in the best possible way, Circle Line has come up with a plan. The local sightseeing cruise line will allow passengers to bring along their dogs for an enjoyable one-hour boat trip. This will see the first time in Circle Line’s history that canines are allowed on board for the limited-time cruise. Fittingly, the fun trip has been dubbed Pawsitively Perfect Pup Cruise and it departs at 11 am.

Once the boat leaves its moorings, guests will enjoy breathtaking views of the NYC skyline from the Hudson River. In fact, they will even get a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty along the way. While on board, dogs will enjoy treats from Little L’s Pet Bakery & Boutique. Moreover, fancy custom bandanas will be on sale for your dog to wear with pride.

Meanwhile, this isn’t just about enjoying a fun river cruise as Circle Line are partnering with North Shore Animal League America to encourage pet adoption. In fact, between 10 am and 2 pm, guests will be able to experience a mobile adoption event to learn about and meet many four-legged pals seeking a furever home.

Get your ticket for the cruise and adopt a new friend

Currently, tickets are on sale at $20 per human, while the dogs travel free. Even better, Circle Line has pledged to donate the proceeds from each ticket sale to Animal League America to benefit even more dogs.

Craig Kanarick, CEO of New York Cruise Lines, made a statement about the cruise, saying:

We are beyond excited for the Pawsitively Perfect Pup Cruise and can’t wait to see all attendees enjoy a beautiful day on the water with their dog.

Kanarick noted that New York City is filled with devoted dog lovers. He said that, through their partnership with North Shore Animal League America, guests will get the chance to adopt a pet and “create long-lasting memories.”

Through the donations, the charity will be able to continue its lifesaving work. The mobile adoption event will be held on Circle Line’s Pier 83 from 10 am to 2 pm. Because of this, anyone that doesn’t manage to snag a ticket for the cruise will still have the chance to meet some friendly dogs, hoping for a new home.
